1. Privacy-First, Client-Only Architecture

Solmate is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. We do not operate external proxy servers, analytics databases, or user telemetry collectors. All communications occur directly and encrypted between your Mac and your solar equipment provider's API.

2. What We Store Locally on Your Mac

• Credentials & Tokens: Inverter login credentials and authentication tokens are encrypted using Apple Keychain services and hardware enclave AES-256-GCM encryption.
• Cached Solar Telemetry: Current power readings (PV generation, battery flow, grid import/export, household consumption) are cached locally in macOS App Group storage exclusively to populate desktop widgets and the menu bar extra.

3. No Analytics & No Tracking

Solmate does not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or telemetry logging frameworks. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your energy data.

4. Encrypted Direct Communication

All network requests utilize HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption directly from your Mac to the designated inverter cloud service (such as api.sunsynk.net, server.growatt.com, or local Tesla gateways).
